New Public Warnings Issued by Springfield-Greene County Health Department on COVID-19 Exposures

The Springfield-Greene County Health Department announced Monday afternoon three potential exposures for COVID-19 based on interviews with a new case.

Health Department Director Clay Goddard announced an individual who has been confirmed to have COVID-19 visited multiple locations:

  • Sunday, March 29: Walgreens, 2640 East Sunshine, around 7:30 p.m.
  • Monday, March 30: Target, around 5:40 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 1: Phillips 66 near Sunshine & Glenstone, around 10:30 a.m..

Goddard reiterated a statement he made on Friday regarding how citizens should approach trips in public.

“We should be interacting with our environment as if the people around us are sick,” Goddard said. “Or better yet, we should be operating at this time as we might be sick ourselves.”

He also advised residents to avoid making trips unless absolutely necessary including trips to grocery stores or pharmacies.
