Christian County Commissioners announced Thursday that starting Monday, March 30, 2020, they will closing all offices to the public.
However, the county will continue to operate with basic functions even if their lobby areas are closed. Citizens who have business with the county can still conduct it via phone or email.
This policy applies to the Historic Courthouse, Resource Management Building, Recycling Center, and Road Barns.
“It’s important for people to understand that we are still open for business, but right now we just have to conduct that business through telephone, email and fax,” Christian County Assessor Danny Gray said in a statement.
The policy corresponds with the County’s Stay at Home order.
Presiding Circuit Judge Laura Johnson issued a similar announcement regarding the Circuit Court of Christian County. Cases will be processed through paper and electronic filings.
Any questions should be sent to the Christian County Circuit Clerk’s office, 417-582-5120.
