Area School Districts Stay Closed Through April 24

With a day of stay at home orders being put into place by Springfield, Greene County and surrounding communities, area school districts have announced they will be staying closed through April 24.

The extended closure includes all extra-curricular activities including athletics, competitions, after-school programs, and other events.

The districts who have announced the closure are:

  • Blue Eye
  • Branson
  • Clever
  • Fair Grove
  • Fordland
  • Forsyth
  • Hollister
  • Kirbyville
  • Logan-Rogersville
  • Marionville
  • Mark Twain
  • Marshfield
  • Nixa
  • Ozark
  • Reeds Spring
  • Republic
  • Sparta
  • Springfield
  • Strafford
  • Taneyville
  • Thayer
  • Walnut Grove
  • Willard

In a statement, the united districts said that “districts are focused on protecting the safety and well-being of students, staff and their families.”

Many school districts, including Springfield, will have their administrative offices closed to the public during the stay at home order. Anyone with questions about the closure is urged to call their child’s school for more information.
