Salvation Army Opens Drive Through Food Pantry; Daily Lunch Served

The Salvation Army has announced they are reopening their Wednesday food pantry as a drive through operation.

The food pantry at 1707 West Chestnut Expressway will not be taking in person intake inside the building but will handle everything at the drive through operation.

Recipients will drive to the back of the building where volunteers or employees will load the food directly into the car.

Anyone who is requesting food will need to bring a valid picture ID and some proof of residency in Greene or Christian County in the last 30 days. That proof can include an item like a bill or piece of mail. You will show them to staff who will not be touching them.

Daily lunch is being served seven days a week from noon until 1 p.m., however there are going to be changes to the Front-Line Feeding Program. The dining room at Harbor House, 636 North Boonville, will be closed to the public. Meals will be distributed at the east side of the building.
