Springfield Symphony Cancels The Civil War in Missouri Concert

The Springfield Symphony has announced the cancellation of their concert and all related events for The Civil War in Missouri.

The concert was scheduled for March 28, 2020, at the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts.

The event was to include collaborations with student choirs from area universities such as Drury, Evangel, and College of the Ozarks, all of whom have decided to conduct classes remotely or extended their spring breaks, which contributed to the decision to cancel the event.

The Symphony said they will be following CDC guidelines as they look at future events along with instructions from local health department officials.

The SSO is contacting ticket buyers of changes via email, website, and phone. They are asking people to NOT contact the Hammons Hall box office in regards to the cancelled event.

Anyone who has tickets and wishes to exchange them may contact the SSO box office at seasontickets@springfieldsymphony.org or by calling 417-864-6683.

The SSO offices will be closed through March 30, with staff working remotely, so people are encouraged to allow 3 to 5 business days for a response.
