Crosslines Makes Changes in Response to COVID-19 Concerns

Area food bank Crosslines is making changes to their operations because of concerns related to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Here is their press release concerning their changes:

As preventative measures surrounding the COVID-19 virus, Crosslines, an Outreach of the Council of Churches of the Ozarks, has changed the distribution model to receive food assistance. Guests will now make online orders with arranged pick up times for a drive thru service. Crosslines is not allowing any public access to the Crosslines interior facility. The priority is the safety of volunteers, staff and guests while continuing to provide a reliable food source to those in need in our community. This change in the distribution process is a temporary measure and will be re-evaluated as new developments are announced.

Distribution hours will remain the same, 9:00am to 1:45pm during the week. Guests will need to go to Crosslines.org and follow the link to order food online. Guests can also call Crosslines at 417-869-0563 during normal business hours to place an order. There is a limited number of phone lines and it may take some time to get to an operator.  Orders must be placed ahead of time for a scheduled pickup.

Crosslines is grateful for donations during this period of time. Financial gifts can be made online at Crosslines.org or mailed to PO Box 3947, Springfield, MO 65808. In-kind donations can be accepted and can be an alternative source for food-related businesses that are postponing normal operations and want to help under resourced families in our community. In-kind food donations can be made during normal business hours at the West Dock doors of Crosslines.
