Walmart has announced they will be adjusting their hours because of the coronavirus outbreak.
Walmart stores and Neighborhood Markets that are normally open 24 hours a day will now close between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m..
“This will help ensure associates are able to stock the products our customers are looking for and to perform cleaning and sanitizing,” Dacona Smith, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Walmart, wrote in a website posting. “As we make this change, associates will continue to work the hours and shifts they are scheduled, and our supply chain and trucking fleet will continue to move products and deliver to stores on their regular schedules.”
Walmart is also putting in place a emergency leave policy for anyone who could have been exposed to the coronavirus.
