MSHSAA State Basketball Championships Still On

The Missouri State High School Athletic Association is planning to still hold the Class 4 & 5 state basketball championships this weekend at JQH Arena and Hammons Student Center at Missouri State.

The event has been shortened to two days.

Semifinal games will play at Noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. on Friday, with class 4 playing in Hammons Student Center and class 5 inside JQH. Saturday’s championship games will run with the same time schedule in JQH.

Each school will have 100 wristbands to give to people to watch the game in person. The fans of each team will be sitting in opposite sides of the arena.

MSHSAA scanned every player’s temperature before the playoff games for classes 1 through 3, and those screenings will expand this weekend to include anyone with access to the floor level.

Several St. Louis area schools that cancelled classes and activities are still planning to send their qualifying teams to the finals.
