Area Schools Close Through April 3

A number of school districts across the region have announced they will be canceling classes through Friday, April 3, 2020, as a result of the spread of COVID-19 in the area.

The following districts will be closed until April 3:

  • Springfield
  • Ash Grove
  • Fair Grove
  • Fordland
  • Logan-Rogersville
  • Marshfield
  • Nixa
  • Ozark
  • Republic
  • Sparta
  • Strafford
  • Willard

These districts are currently on their Spring Break, meaning students who were scheduled to return to classes on March 23 will now stay out of school until at least Monday, April 6, 2020.

The closure impacts all extra-curricular activities, including all athletic related events and after-school programs.

The schools will be providing meal service of some kind and each district will release information later this week.

Districts will have individual schools designated as childcare facilities for the children of healthcare workers and emergency personnel & first responders.

The various school districts will be updating with more information through their normal communications channels, so parents are encouraged to watch their school district websites and social media.
