The Greene County Clerk is reminding residents today, Wednesday, March 11, 2020, is the deadline to register to vote in the April 7, 2020 general municipal election.
Anyone who has not yet registered can do so in person at the Clerk’s office, 940 North Boonville, Room 113, inside the Historic Greene County Courthouse. Registration can also take place at branches of the Springfield-Greene County Library.
When registering to vote, registrants will need to bring along an acceptable form of identification. Acceptable ID includes a valid driver’s license, current utility bill, or a bank statement.
Under state and federal law, if you have moved within the county, you are still eligible to vote. However, Clerk Schoeller is asking those who have moved to contact his office with their address change to help them find a closer and easier to access polling location.
