Things are going to get FOAMy May 2nd in Springfield.
FOAM (Festival of Art & Music) will be taking place at Tie & Timber Beer Company, 1451 East Cherry in Springfield, on May 2nd. The event will feature music from former Rusted Root vocalist Michael Glabicki and other local performers.
The event will also be the unveiling of the 5th annual collection for the Springfield Sculpture Walk, including one sculpture that will remain in the beer garden at Tie & Timber.
“We have integrated music, art, and craft beer in very deliberate ways throughout our festivals since we opened our doors in 2018.” Curt Marshall, co-founder of Tie & Timber Beer Co., said in a statement. “We are now prepared to elevate our festival experiences to an entirely new level. We have invested in the full transformation of our beer garden, creating what we expect to become the premier outdoor music venue in southwest Missouri. We are once again partnering with Sculpture Walk Springfield and local artists to cultivate a sense of culture & place within our garden.”
Glabicki and his touring partner Dirk Miller take Rusted Root songs and re-imagine them for a more intimate concert setting.
“Michael is such a dynamic performer, we’re excited for a very special set,” Brett Johnston, General Manager of Tie & Timber Beer Co. said in the statement. “When I Woke is a classic, a favorite record, with the can’t-miss single “Send Me On My Way”. The artistry and talent of this duo, combined with the positivity and nostalgia of the songs make this duo from Rusted Root a perfect anchor for our lineup.”
Columbia, Missouri based Flood Brothers will also be performing, along with local acts announced at a later date.
Tickets are $10 in advance and can be bought at Tie & Timber or online.
