Missouri Valley Conference officials didn’t care for some comments from Missouri State women’s basketball coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton and they let her know about it.
The MVC reprimanded the coach for comments she made about officiating in the Lady Bears’ 69-66 win over Bradley. Coach Mox was critical of the officiating following the game, where the Lady Bears gave up a 20 point lead before securing the three point win.
“The comments that Coach Agugua-Hamilton made in a public, post-game setting were both inappropriate and were a violation of Conference policy,” MVC commissioner Doug Elgin stated in a press release.
Coach Mox responded through the University statement where she said that she acknowledged her “poor judgment” in making her comments on the post-game broadcast and that she respected the “difficult” job of the officials.
