The second annual Salute to Greene County Law Enforcement & Firefighters Friday night, March 6, will have a special keynote speaker as Governor Mike Parson will speak.
Governor Parson, a former Polk County sheriff, will wrap up the evening’s festivities which begin with a reception at 6 p.m. inside the Glendalough Convention Center at the Doubletree Hotel. The event is sponsored by the Greene County 100 Club.
“The Greene County 100 Club is a wonderful organization that exists to provide financial support to the families of our law enforcement officers and firefighters who are killed in the line of duty,” Club President Bob Cirtin said in a statement. “They truly make the ultimate sacrifice while protecting us and our organization exists to help their families when they need us the most.”
In addition to the address from Governor Parson, those attending the event will hear from Stephanie McCormack, widow of Greene County Deputy Gary McCormack, about the impact the 100 Club had on their family after McCormack’s death.
More information on the event can be found on the Greene County 100 Club’s website.
