A Springfield man was allegedly caught while committing an act of sexual abuse on a child under the age of 12.
John Willis Hough, 29, is facing three counts of first-degree statutory rape and tampering with evidence in a felony prosecution. According to court documents, a woman walked in on Hough committing the crime on Saturday afternoon in rural Greene County.
The victim told an investigator at the Child Advocacy Center that Hough had been abusing her for years.
The tampering charge was levied because Hough allegedly used handfuls of water from a toilet to try and wash himself before a reverse rape kit could be used on him.
When arrested Hough refused to answer any questions from investigators.
If convicted on the first-degree statutory rape charges, Hough could face life in prison.
