Missouri State will be a participant in the 2020 Jersey Mike’s Jamaica Classic, Director of Athletics Kyle Moats announced today.
In its fourth year, the annual college basketball tournament will be held in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Nov. 20-22, in one of the most iconic destinations in the Caribbean.
With its picturesque beaches, modern resorts, and exciting nightlight, Montego Bay is one of the Caribbean’s most popular tourist destinations – and a great setting for the 2020 Jersey Mike’s Jamaica Classic.
“We are excited to be selected to play in the Jersey Mike’s Jamaica Classic next season,” said Moats. “This is a destination tournament for our fans and alumni, and we look forward to giving them the opportunity to watch our team play on national TV at a beautiful location,”
In addition to Missouri State, seven other universities will round out the host and travel teams participating, including confirmed participant Wake Forest. The rest of the field will be announced at a later date. Eight tournament games will be held on the four host campus sites with eight games played at the final site at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in Jamaica. All games played in the Montego Bay Convention Centre will be televised live on CBS Sports Network.
