The Wizard of Oz is coming to Branson starting Friday night.
The Branson Regional Arts Council is hosting 14 performances of the Wizard of Oz at the historic Owen Theatre in downtown Branson. The show features Taylor Haverstick in the lead role of Dorothy.
“This musical has always held a very special place in my heart,” says Director Jacob Deck. “I’ve been in love with this tale since before I could walk, and I would like to thank my amazing cast for bringing the story to life. Their hard work and dedication truly shows in their performance.”
The show also stars Michael Phillips as the Scarecrow, Carlos Morales as the Tin Man, Sean Neil Myers as the Cowardly Lion, Jennifer Kersey as the Wicked Witch of the West, Rachael Jones as Glinda the Good Witch, and Kerry Richardson or Jim Barber as the Wizard of Oz.
Tickets for the show are $16.95 for adults, $11.45 for youth 4-17.
The cast is also hosting two “Land of Oz Parties” for kids on February 15th and 29th, with the $25 per child admission going to the BRAC’s Youth Education Fund.
“This will be an exciting Oz themed pre-show party on Saturday mornings during our production of The Wizard Of Oz,” Jim Barber said in a statement. “It’s great fun for boys and girls kids age 4-18! Your kiddos will find their courage, grow their heart, and increase their brain power!”
