A Springfield man is behind bars, facing charges that he sexual assaulted a woman that he held captive in a Springfield area home.
Nicholas Madrid is facing charges of first-degree rape or attempted rape, first-degree sodomy or attempted sodomy, accessory to kidnapping and terrorizing, and unlawful use of a weapon.
Court documents say that the victim told investigators Madrid and others held her inside a Springfield home for a week, tying her up, and threatening her with a gun. She said she was repeatedly sexually assaulted during the captivity.
Madrid, who is in the Greene County Jail without bond, could face possible life sentences if convicted on the sexual assault charges. He has no attorney of record in Missouri Casenet.
