The Greene County Assessor’s office has fixed problems with their internet filing system, allowing residents to electronically file their yearly assessments.
The online filing came online Monday after reports of bugs and issues that required a temporary hold on online filing of personal property and business assessments.
The deadline to file the assessments is March 1, with late filing penalties that could range from $15 to $105 depending on the level of assessed value.
Any Greene County resident who did not receive an assessment list is encouraged to call the Greene County Assessor’s Office at 417-868-4101 or visit Room 37 at the historic Greene County Courthouse. Forms are also available online.
