The Greene County Commission honored Michael Bowers for helping a citizen in need.
Here is the award text read by Commissioner Bob Dixon at the commission’s monthly court session:
On a cold November morning, Michael had an opportunity to spread a bit of kindness to a citizen who was having a bad day. While heading out to his work truck, Bowers noticed a lady in the parking lot who had a flat tire. Michael came to her aid by removing, patching and replacing the tire. She was soon back on her way. It’s great to know that we have employees who not only do their jobs at a professional level, but go above and beyond when they see someone in need.
The Commission honors employees monthly for efforts deemed “above and beyond” their regular duties.
