Sex Offender Accused of Abusing Three Willard Children

A registered sex offender has been charged in connection with the sexual abuse of three Willard area children.

Tyler Golden, 39, is facing charges of statutory sodomy, child molestation, and sexual misconduct. The victims that Golden accused of abusing were between 10 and 16 years old.

If Golden is convicted on the current charges, he could face life in prison

Golden is a registered sex offender, having been previously convicted of exposing himself to an underage girl. He had been sentenced to four years in prison, suspended dependent on five years of probation, which the Missouri Board of Probation & Parole ruled was successfully completed in 2011.

In addition to the child sex abuse related charges, Golden has another case where he’s charged with four counts of domestic assault.

Golden is represented by a public defender in his domestic assault case, but no attorney is listed for the child sex abuse related charges. He was still listed as being in the Greene County Jail as of Monday morning.

Golden is expected to be back before Judge Becky Borthwick on Thursday morning at 9 a.m. for a bond reduction hearing.
