On the heels of catching three stolen vehicles in a 9 hour span on Tuesday, the Greene County Sheriff’s office recovered another stolen vehicle Wednesday morning after a short chase.
Deputies noticed a black Chevrolet Suburban running red lights and weaving through an intersection, so they pursued the vehicle suspecting driving while intoxicated. The deputies lost sight of the vehicle near Walnut and South Street, and after searching found the vehicle in the 400 block of East Walnut, where the Suburban had crashed into a parked vehicle.
The driver fled the scene on foot but was captured by deputies after a short foot pursuit.
The vehicle was then confirmed to be stolen from Arkansas.
The driver is in the Greene County Jail awaiting formal charges; his identity is being withheld pending charges.
