The city of Branson has released the final list of candidates for their April elections and the withdrawal of one candidate means an uncontested race for one aldermen seat.
The Ward III race, which had two candidates until Tuesday, will now be uncontested. Jamie Whiteis will be the new alderman for the ward, replacing Brian Clonts. Gary Groman, who had filed for the seat, withdrew his name on Tuesday afternoon.
In Ward I, three men will run for the seat. Incumbent Bill Skains is running for another term, challenged by Willard Harris and Marshall Howden.
Ward II will have a two man race, with incumbent Rick Castillon facing challenger Jeff Seay.
All the races are for a two-year term on the Board of Aldermen.
