The Drury Lady Panthers were voted the number one team in NCAA-II for the ninth straight week in this week’s national coaches’ poll.
Drury is 17-0 and one of only three undefeated teams remaining in Division II. The Lady Panthers received 21 of a possible 23 first-place votes as Lubbock Christian lost twice last week and fell from number two to ninth in the poll.
Ashland (17-0) received the other two first-place votes and is ranked second, while Grand Valley State (16-1) is ranked third. The top three teams in the national rankings all come from the Midwest Region.
This week’s poll marks the 104th consecutive week the Lady Panthers have been in the top 25, the longest such streak in the nation. It is their 42nd straight week in the top 10, and their ninth week in a row at number one dating back to the NCAA-II preseason poll in October.
