Governor Mike Parson announced a new Associate Circuit Court Judge for the 31st Judicial Circuit to replace Becky Borthwick, who was elevated to a Circuit Judge appointment.
T. Todd Myers, currently the Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Greene County, was named to the vacancy.
Myers has been the Chief Assistant since 2011. He oversees the daily operations of the Prosecuting Attorney’s office and handles the homicide cases. Prior to joining the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office in 1999, he was an Assistant City Prosecutor in Wichita, Kansas.
Myers earned his undergraduate degree at Evangel University and his law degree from the University of Kansas. He was named an “Up & Coming Attorney” in 2010 saluting the top lawyers in the state under 40 years old.
The other candidates for the position were assistant federal public defender David Mercer and Springfield municipal division chief judge Todd Thornhill.
