After two more wins last week, the Drury Lady Panthers maintained their number one ranking in the NCAA-II coaches poll. Drury is 14-0, 5-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and received 14 first-place votes to Lubbock Christian’s nine this week.
Ashland (15-0) moved into third place in the poll after beating Grand Valley State 77-68 last week, and GVSU (14-1) then slid one spot to fourth. Virginia Union (12-1) moved up to fifth in this week’s rankings. Once again, three of the four teams in the national poll are from the Midwest Region of NCAA-II.
This week’s poll marks the 103rd consecutive week the Lady Panthers have been in the top 25, the longest such streak in the nation, it is their 41st straight week in the top 10, and their eighth week in a row at number one dating back to the NCAA-II preseason poll in October.
Drury is on the road for their next game as they travel to Maryville for a 5:15 pm game in St. Louis, Missouri.
