The Council of Churches of the Ozarks hosted their annual Crosslines Holiday Toy Store and food distribution on Saturday at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds.
The event gave away over a hundred thousand dollars worth of gifts and food to thousands of Ozarks families, including 1,275 food baskets.
Crosslines gave a special thank you to several area churches for their assistance in preparing for the event: Turning Point, Redeemer Lutheran Church, The Downtown Church, St. Agnes Cathedral, King’s Way United Methodist Church, Central Christian Church, Southminster Presbyterian Church, and Campbell United Methodist Church.
Over 2,500 children had gifts for Christmas provided through Crosslines but the charity says there are still children who could go without any gifts at Christmas. Anyone who would like to help with a last minute donation can contact Crosslines at 417-862-3586.
