The Kitchen Seeks Public’s Help in Matching Arson Recovery Matching Grant

In the wake of an arson fire that destroyed hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations and supplies for local homeless ministry The Kitchen, the organization is seeking the public’s help in raising funds to meet a matching donation that would significantly help recovery efforts.

The organization says they have been offered a $50,000 matching grant if the funds can be raised before the end of the month.

The fundraising began on December 12 and the organization says they are in desperate need of community members to donate to help them obtain the entire $50,000 matching grant.

The donations will be used to help provide housing for homeless residents in the area, and to replace the furniture and food burned in the arson.

If you would like to donate to help The Kitchen, visit their website or call 417-837-1500.
