Three student musicians at Ozark High School can claim a very special honor: members of the All-Star Band.
Bassoon player Mason Waltke and trombone player Brady Perkins qualified for All-State band while their classmate Brett Meyer was given an honorable mention slot after the competition in Columbia.
A musician qualifies to audition for All-State by earning a spot on their All-District band and then be one of the top musicians in their instrument. When they reach the state competition, they have to pass two separate auditions to earn their spot.
The trio of juniors will have a chance to earn back-to-back All-State honors next year.
