An indoor trampoline park that has been open in Springfield since 2014 suddenly ceased operations on Tuesday, leaving many families with holiday and birthday celebrations wondering what they could do about it.
Sky Zone, located on Kansas Expressway in South Springfield, posted a notice on their door that the business was closed and posted phone numbers for anyone with concerns or questions about the closing. Also posted was a court notice seizing the property on behalf of the landlord.
We regret to inform all of our customers/community that the news of our closure is true,” the business posted on Facebook. “We are in the process of reaching out to every guest that had a party booked, all of our pass holders, and all of our members to offer refunds on these things. We really appreciate all of our guests over the years and will truly miss providing the community with a safe and fun place to play.”
Kiana James, who claimed in the comments of the company’s posting to have been an employee, said that employees were told yesterday they would be losing their jobs.
Discovery Center of Springfield posted on social media that this weekend only they will accept entry passes for Sky Zone for anyone who is unable to receive a refund for their admission tickets to Sky Zone.
