This Saturday, the area’s no-kill animal shelter is wanting to make sure your furry friends smell as good as they can for your holiday gathering and raise money at the same time.
The Humane Society of Southwest Missouri is hosting “Bathe to Save”, a one-day wash-a-thon for dogs of all sizes. You can have your dog bathed or their nails clipped for donations to the shelter’s operations.
The cost is dependent on the size of the dog. A small dog (under 29 pounds) is $30, medium (30 to 59 pounds) is $40, and large dogs are $50. A nail trim is $8.
The shelter is entirely dependent on private donations. They do not receive any funding from the Humane Society of the United States, Humane Society of Missouri, SPCA or any government entities.
If you wish to give your dog that day of special pampering, you’ll need to register for a time slot in advance. The event will take place from noon until 4 p.m. You can sign up on the Humane Society’s website.
