Incumbent Greene County Commissioner Harold Bengsch hasn’t even announced if he intends to run for another term, but another person has lined up to replace him.
Rusty MacLachlan announced he will be running for the seat currently held by Bengsch. MacLachlan is the second candidate to announce their intent to run, after Sonya Murray Anderson’s announcement in July.
MacLachlan is the President and CEO of MacLachlan Construction Company. His campaign website lists “opportunity for our families,” “affordable housing, affordable taxes,” and “restoring trust, getting the job done” as campaign platforms.
MacLachlan has a degree in business administration from the University of Central Missouri.
Greene County Republicans announced a reception for MacLachlan on December 3 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Metro Appliances & More, 3253 North Glenstone in Springfield.
