If you are a student looking to get federal student aid for education, or a parent with a student who will be looking to attend college this fall, Ozarks Technical Community College is holding a “FAFSA Frenzy” event just for you.
The one day event centers around FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The event is open to all students regardless of where they live or what college they plan to attend.
The event will take place on Thursday, November 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. at OTC’s Information Commons West building on the Springfield campus.
Advisors will be on hand to explain the process of filing for federal student aid and help students or families file the necessary forms.
In addition to the one-on-one help in filing the forms, students who attend will be entered for a $500 Journey to College Book Scholarship from the Missouri Department of Higher Education. Winners will receive the scholarship in fall 2020 at any Missouri college or university where they enroll for the semester.
Anyone attending is asking to bring copies of their 2018 Federal Income Tax forms, federal W-2 forms and all other IRS documents. That information is necessary for competition of the FAFSA process.
The FAFSA Frenzy program is administered by the Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development.
