Businesses Team Up to Help The Kitchen After Arson Fire

A group of local businesses are coming together to raise items for The Kitchen, Inc. in an attempt to help them recover from a recent arson fire.

The Kitchen, Inc. was struck by an arsonist on November 2nd, burning a warehouse that caused over $100,000 in damage and destroyed the entire stock of donations in the building. The fundraiser is aimed to collected canned food, bottled water, winter clothes, and blankets to replace what has been destroyed.

The fundraising effort is being spearheaded by the Queen City Insane Asylum amateur football team and MAN-DAYS.

The football team will be collecting the items dropped off at various sponsor locations:

TommyHawks Axe House, 1631 West College Street
Seminole Baptist Church, 4221 South National Avenue
Tragedy to Triumph, 1910 East Meadowmere
Rogue Barber Company, 639 West Walnut Street

There will also be a fundraising event called MAN-DAYS at TommyHawks Axe House on December 4th. Anyone wishing to participate in the event will need to bring 10 canned food items or one new blanket.
