The Branson Police Department will honor its third graduating class of the Citizens Police Academy at a ceremony at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2019, in the Municipal Court Room of Branson City Hall.
In order to graduate, the 24 community members were required to complete 30 hours of instruction over 10 weeks. The course covered a variety of topics including police policies, crime scene processing, defensive tactics, use of firearms and organizational structure within the department.
The goal of the academy is to build relationships in the community and to share how the Branson Police Department operates, its mission and its goals.
Applications for the 2020 class will be accepted in the summer.
