Classic cars lined up for a cruise along old Route 66 to benefit Springfield area charity Crosslines.
The 2019 Cruise for Crosslines raised money and toys for Crosslines’ annual drive to make sure parents who are facing tough times are able to have gifts under the Christmas tree for their children.
The cruise left the Great Southern Bank lot on South Glenstone, cruised up old Route 66 to Strafford and then to Fair Grove.
Crosslines, an outreach of Council of Churches of the Ozarks, not only collects toys for families in need, they also provide holiday food baskets so that families can have a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner.
In 2018, Crosslines provided over 30,000 toys to children and almost 27,000 holiday meals.
