Springfield Public Schools’ online learning platform has been named the best in the world by a global organization.
Quality Matters, an organization that tracks quality assurance in online and digital teaching/learning environments, awarded SPS’s “Launch” platform the award for “Outstanding Impact by a K-12 Organization or Individual.”
“We are honored to receive this award and recognition for our high quality courses from an organization we respect so much,” Dr. Nichole Lemmon, Digital Learning Coordinator at Springfield Public Schools, said in a release. “Both the Launch development team and the SPS curriculum team are dedicated to quality, and this recognition honors this commitment.”
Quality Matters stated in a press release that the awards were created to recognize individuals and groups that focus on student learning through QM standards, practices, and processes that impact student success.
Launch has impacted more than just Springfield Public Schools. The platform is currently used by 234 partner school districts in Missouri, teaching over 500,000 Missouri students.
“Our dedication to designing, developing, and delivering quality courses for the partners we serve has never been more important,” Dr Lemmon says. “We are honored to work with so many students statewide.”
