The city of Willard has issued a boil water advisory for a part of the city.
The voluntary order is focused on an area north of Hughes Road and to the south of U.S. 160. (pictured in the headline photo.)
The city is recommending anyone using tap water boil the water for three minutes if using it for drinking or cooking. The water is fine to use for non-consumable purposes such as washing or bathing.
The voluntary boil water order will remain in effect until water samples confirm the water is safe for consumption.
Residents who are in the impacted area will receive a call from the city when the water is safe to drink.
