Springfield Catholic Girls Golf Wins State Championship

The best girls high school golf team in the state of Missouri calls Springfield home.

Springfield Catholic girls won the Class 1 state championship by 117 strokes at the tournament held at Fremont Hills Country Club’s golf course on Monday and Tuesday.

Springfield Catholic shot 628 in the two rounds, topping Father Tolton’s 745 and John Burroughs’ 745. Logan-Rogersville finished fourth with a total of 827.

In addition to the team championship, individual Catholic golfers dominated the event, including Kayla Pfitzner’s winning back-to-back state titles with a 4-over 146. Catholic’s Reagan Zibliski finished 5 shots behind in second place, and Kyleigh Pfitzner finished in fourth place.

Lyla Louderbaugh finished in seventh place.
