Springfield Soliciting Bids for Surplus Properties

The city of Springfield is seeking sealed bids for 13 city-owned properties.

A majority of the properties are locations that once housed dangerous buildings that have been demolished by the city. A few properties were forfeited to the city because of sewer liens.

The price of properties is determined by comparable properties in the neighborhood plus the cost of any building demolition according to city staff.

The majority of the available properties are zoned for residential use.
