The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing teenager.
Zakary J. Javurek has been missing early Monday evening. He reportedly told his parents he was leaving for a friend’s house at 6 p.m., and shortly after his parents were contacted by friends of Zakary concerned about postings on the social media app Snapchat.
Police say several statements in the videos were suicidal in nature. Jauvrek showed himself taking pills with alcohol and holding a weapon that looked similar to a revolver. His parents stated that Zakary had an airsoft style revolver.
Jauvrek has been on medication for depression.
He is described as being 5 feet, 2 inches tall, 110 pounds with light brown hair, and hazel eyes. He was last seen in a grey hooded sweatshirt and maroon pants.
He was last seen walking into a wooded area north of a friend’s house on South Hemlock in Springfield.
