Drury’s Clayton Larsen tied for first place while the Panthers came in sixth at the Fall Midwest Regional Tournament at Fox Run Golf Club in Eureka, Missouri.
Larsen, a senior from Manchester, Iowa, shot a two-under-par 214 for the tournament and moved up from being tied for fifth to a first-place tie after his one-under 71 in Tuesday’s final round. Josh Davenport from Hillsdale won a four-way playoff to take medalist honors.
The Panthers shot 900 as a team to finish sixth among 17 teams. McKendree won the tournament with a team score of 889 while Maryville came in second with 891 and Missouri-St. Louis finished third with a score of 894.
Following Larsen’s one-under-par performance, Cooper Hess tied for 25th with a 226 and Josh Fronabarger tied for 38th shooting 231. Chase Gafner tied for 48th, posting a score of 234 while Tony Brant tied for 67th shooting 241. Nic Walz, playing as an individual, finished 66th with a score of 240.
Drury returns to action in the NCAA Preview hosted by Lindenwood University at St. Albans Country Club in St. Albans, Missouri.
