St. Joseph Academy has announced they will be holding their 10th annual “Beer and BBQ” Fundraiser on October 19 from 5 to 9 p.m..
The event will consist of live music, a silent and live auction, and a meal of smoked meats, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, bread, desserts, tea, and wine. The event will also feature 60 different beers for participants to sample.
The event raises money to help the school’s operating budget. The school has a need to raise over $3,000 per student each year to fully fund the education of their students.
We provide a rigorous academic schedule, with new and updated curriculum in Math, Reading, and Religion,” Principal Bonnie Johnson told OI. “We promote an atmosphere where we teach our students to be kind, caring, compassionate, and responsible.”
Tickets for the event are $35 in advance, $40 at the door. Tickets can be obtained on the school’s website.
