Drury Women’s Golf Leads DU Invitational After Opening Round

The Drury women’s golf team is in first place among six teams after the opening round of the DU Invitational held at Silo Ridge Country Club in Bolivar, Missouri on Monday.

The Panthers posted a team score of 316 through 18 holes and ended the day 23 shots ahead of Columbia College. Truman State is in third with a score of 342.

Drury junior Annaliesia Salazar leads the individual scoring after her opening round produced a five-over-par 77. Two of her teammates, Serena Berrey and Izzy Marten, are just one shot back of the lead. Samantha Hightower is 11-over-par and is tied for eighth while Ellie Cobb is in 15th afters shooting an 85.

Lauren Plunkett, playing as an individual, is in fourth place following her seven-over-par 79.

The Drury Invitational continues with the final round on Tuesday at Silo Ridge. The event is the second of the season for the Panthers.
