The 31st Circuit Judicial Commission has announced the three finalists that will be sent to Governor Parson for him to choose the next circuit court judge for Greene County.
The Commission held public hearings and interviews on Friday, September 13, with the nine applicants for the position answering questions related to the duties of the position and their ability to conduct a fair and efficient administration of the office.
The commission chooses three candidates which are then sent to the Governor. The finalists chosen by the Commission are:
Becky Borthwick, currently an Associate Circuit Judge, Division 25, 31st Circuit
Randall D. Eggert, Supervisory Assistant U.S Attorney
Ginger Gooch, partner at Husch Blackwell, LLP
The Commission gave five votes to each of the finalists for the position.
The Commission chair is Judge Jeffrey Bates, Chief Judge of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District. The other committee members are attorneys Steve Garner and Laurel Stevenson, and lay members Joann Hosmer & Kim Hancock.
