Missouri State Hosting “Salute To Agriculture” Friday

Missouri State’s Darr College of Agriculture is teaming up with the Professional Bull Riders event at MSU this weekend to hold their annual “Salute to Agriculture” event.

The event will take place Friday, September 13, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Darr Agricultural Center, 2401 South Kansas Expressway in Springfield.

More than 1,600 students from 51 schools throughout southwest Missouri will be participating in a celebration of “farming and everything related to it.”

The highlight of the event is Ag Olympics, involving events like lassoing or hay bale jumping.

All the high school students participating will have the opportunity to attend the PBR event at JQH Arena after the “Salute to Agriculture” event.
