The City of Branson Engineering Department will be upgrading two traffic signals Tuesday, September 10, 2019, with new equipment that will reduce traffic congestion and improve safety at two intersections that are located near Branson Public Schools.
Crews will be replacing the traffic signal cabinets at the intersection of Bee Creek Road and Buccaneer as well as at the intersection of James F. Epps Road and Cedar Ridge. These are areas near schools that see a high volume of traffic. Crews will perform this work during school hours to alleviate and minimize traffic congestion during the upgrade.
To facilitate the repair, the signals will be turned off and stop signs will be temporarily erected to allow the intersections to function. The traffic signal will be out of operation for approximately one hour during the replacement of the new equipment. Traffic cones and barricades will be used to assist with traffic control and limit any confusion.
Once the work is complete, the new equipment will reduce congestion and improve safety at the two intersections.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution in the work zone and to be mindful of workers in the area.
