A Springfield man is facing multiple charges in connection with the statutory rape of a 12-year-old girl.
Christopher Revel is facing charges of 1st degree statutory rape or attempted statutory rape of a person less than 12 years of age and enticement or attempted enticement of a child (Actor 21 years of Age or older and child less than 15 years of age.)
The 25-year-old Revel was arrested Wednesday by the Greene County Sheriff’s office. He pleaded not guilty before being referred to the public defender’s office and another hearing set for September 17, 2019 before Judge Mark Powell.
Revel did not ask for bond according to Missouri CaseNet.
Revel claimed to police that the girl forced herself onto him, which the victim denies and insists she was forced into the encounter.
Revel is facing life in prison on the statutory rape charge.
