Drury Hosting Grow Native! Workshop

If you’re a plant lover, Drury University is wanting to reach out to help you learn about native plants in our region and how to grow them in your garden or yards.

Grow Native! Workshop: Plants with Purpose: Native Landscapes for Beauty and Biodiversity is taking place Friday, September 27, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Trustee Science Center, Reed Auditorium, at Drury University.

“Drury University is thrilled to be the host of this educational event, including knowledgeable speakers on a variety of important topics,” Joe Fearn, Head Groundskeeper at Drury University, said in a statement. “All who attend will greatly benefit from this workshop focusing on using native plants in your landscape.”

Speakers at the event will include:

  • Jerod Huebner, Director of Prairie Management for the Missouri Prairie Association
  • Scott Woodbury, Manager of Whitmire Wildflower Garden
  • Dr. Nadia Navarrete-Tindall, Native Plant Specialist
  • James Faupel, Restoration Ecology Coorindator

Light breakfast and lunch are included in the registration for the event.
