A single engine plane crashed near the Branson Airport on Labor Day.

Western Taney County Fire Protection District officials say they received a call around 11:34 a.m. Monday about a plane that had crashed shortly after takeoff from Branson Regional Airport.

The plane was found about 25 minutes after units were dispatched to the scene in a wooded area that could only be accessed by rescuers on foot.

Officials say the plane’s three occupants all suffered minor injuries.

Crews worked to stop a small fuel leak. The plane was found upside down in trees.
