Crusaders finish their road trip through Louisiana with a 4-1 loss to LSU-Shreveport.
The Crusaders went down a goal five minutes into the match when the Pilots were able to find the back of the net after Marten Weinitschke kicked a shot off the crossbar that ricocheted back into the goal. The Crusaders would then steady the defense for the rest of the half to keep the score at 1-0.
In the second half, the Pilots ramped up the offense and scored three more goals. The Crusaders were held relatively quiet on offense the entire game, up until the final minutes when Jarrett Meyer was able to capitalize off a miscue by the Saul Ocampo, the goalkeeper for the Pilots.
The Crusaders were outshot 23-9. Of those nine shots, only one was on goal. Josiah Dinwiddie started the game in goal and allowed one goal and had two saves off five shots. Anthony Morales was the keeper in the second half and allowed three goals with six saves off 18 shots.
